"I waited patiently for God to help me; then He listened and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog and the mire, and set my feet on a hard, firm path, and steadied me as I walked along."

Psalm 40:1-2 | The Living Bible

The Vision of Jim Vogelzang, Founder of Doing HIS Time

Ministry Overview

Doing HIS Time Prison Ministry (DHT) founded in 1999 by Jim Vogelzang, is a Christ-centered organization that delivers practical, hands-on solutions to the challenges associated with incarceration and reintegration for inmates, ex-offenders and their families. By providing essential clothes, work boots, and a backpack with hygiene items upon release, or a daily devotional while inside, DHT becomes the “face and hands of Christ” to this community.
