Doing HIS Time Founder James C. Vogelzang has completed writing a devotional entitled Doing HIS Time: Meditations and Prayers for Men and Women in Prison. It was written specifically for men and women in prison. Jim’s vision in writing this book was to pen a devotional that speaks to offenders as if he were in prison. Read below acutal testimonies from people in prison impacted by the Holy Spirit through the devotional: "I was sitting here in the seg. unit in Tennessee Prison for Women, bored, so I asked for a book. In seg., we can only read religious material, so the guard brought “Doing His Time: Meditations and Prayers for Men and Women in Prison.” At first, I was thinking, “Hmph, what kind of book is this?” and kind of judging it by its cover and judging it from my past experience with books I’ve read that I can’t understand because they use a lot of religious jargon. Man! This is the best devotional book I’ve read. It’s in my language. I can totally understand it, and some of the pages, it seems like this author knows me, or has me in mind when he wrote them! I believe God truly speaks to people through this book because some of these pages make me feel happy, sad, or extremely guilty. I’ve even got down and prayed and repented right after I read a certain page that I felt was written for me. May God continue to bless the authors of this book and maybe there will be another published soon??" Sincerely, Codi A. "I shared your devotional with another brother, who told me it was "very good"--your analogies resonate with the minds shaped by too many prison experiences! Your devotional is an awesome tool, believe it!" Steven P. "My name is Kelly--I am in prison in Kentucky. I was given this book, "Doing HIS Time" over a year ago and never read it. I began reading this book every single day and I am so grateful for this book. It really hits home and is right on point to where I am at dealing with sin in my life and trying to be obedient and faithful to our Lord Jesus." Kelly S.
